St. Theresa Church in Sugar Land, Texas, a booming Catholic community, is holding a workshop on Gregorian chant led by chant master Scott Turkington. The dates are February 13-14, 2009, from 1:00pm on Friday to the 5:00pm vigil Mass on Saturday. The St. Theresa Schola will also sing a concert on Friday evening, with a focus on the music of William Byrd.

This workshop is designed to be user-friendly, and is presented for both parish musicians and laypeople who would like to become practically familiar with the beauty and spiritual richness of chant.

All singers are invited to come and learn!
